Imagine Your Story - Week 1

June 2 - All About You!

STORYTIME!
Dance at Grandpa's by Laura Ingalls Wilder.

CRAFT TIME!
Today we are going to make Picture Magnets.  Be sure to ask your parents if you can use some pictures before you cut them up.  Or you could draw your own pictures to turn into magnets.

Photo Magnets

What you will need:
  • printed copies of your photographs (or pictures that you have drawn)
  • scissors
  • large clear glass beads (the flat ones)
  • clear drying glue or modge podge
  • magnets
What you will do:
  1. Cut the photos so they will fit the size of your glass bead.
  2. Spread a small amount of glue or modge podge on the flat side of the bead.
  3. Press the photo onto the bead and set it aside to dry.
  4. When dry, put glue on the back of the picture to attach the magnet.  Let dry again.
Here I have some flat thin magnets or circle magnets.  These glass beads come in many colors.  I have blue, green and clear.  You can use any that you would like for your photo magnets.

WRITING TIME!
How is your personal narrative coming?  Today our video is talking about writing our introduction.  What is the best way to start our story?
